    More likely a pre-xflow 1500 Ford lump, which could be persuaded to
    knock out 120bhp if you were desperate, but 100bhp was more within easy
    tuning reach.

    In those days 100bhp in a car weighing half of **** all gave quite good
    road performance compared to everything else around. On crossplies,
    natch.
