Hey Yawl: I wanna know why we're talking Magna here.. instead of all
    that Mighty Valk..
    Bill Walker

I think maybe because the Mighty Valk has sprung a big ole leak of some
    kind??
    Redshad )

    Do what???
I believe you been riding toooo much lately out in that west texas wind,
    son?
    (BigCountryGrin)

Y, I rode the Mighty Valk, just the other day. And boy it runs soooo
good, 'specially after such a thorough, and expensive I might add,
    ‘Oil Change’. unnnnhuh.

Nothing is tooo good, for the Mighty one.

How many miles did you manage to ride it?

Don't be like Nurick....I'm not talking about on a trailer or pulled,
pushed or carried....we've already got one person here claiming you
can't even ride 170 miles without trailering that motorcycle. 170
miles two ways on a weekend....that's disgraceful! I guess you missed
that posting where it was claimed....if it were me, I'd be irrate if
someone said I couldn't ride 170 miles on a motorcycle and had to
    trailer it....

Awe, everyones (mainly Big Ed) just messing around here, saying this and
that, to keep ''some kind'' of discussion going on our fine group. Just
kidding around. Trying to keep our ratings up, I suppose.

Those Big Barge riders, are witty and comical.
I found that out when I met them acouple of weeks ago, and we rode
around Southeast Dallas area about 243 miles in maybe two hours, maybe
less. Dang, Brian we ended up way over in Canton, I couldnt believe it!
    We, R-o-d-e.

Then the next day had the 170 miles facing us to get home, pretty tired
when we arrived at home. I had to take a nap.

How'd you manage 243 miles from Southeast Dallas (called Mesquite/
Sunnyvale) to Canton and back? Canton is only about 30 miles from
    where you stored your trailer....

Now, the only part of your story that I can believe is that it took
you two hours to make it from Sunnyvale to Canton....that I CAN
believe! Then too, I managed to ride my bicycle from Mesquite to
    Kaufman in less time....

hail, Brian, shoot, we rode a large circle.
Started out at Crandon, ate there at the Cotton Gin, then followed Ed ,
or was it Redshad, anyway, thru Scurry, down to Corsicana, back up and
over to Athens, Canton, and Terrell. Stopped at the Harley Bar, on 80,
    then split.

At the Bike Place we mount up,me and Ed left those other two, way back
there in our mirriors. They gave up, trying to ketch us.

Brian, it was sorta like one of those rides like you ''tell'' about.

Only thang' is we didnt join up with a mystery Group, like you did, or
said you did, You See, we were a bonified group, right from the git' go.
    (grinning)

I rode all those miles, outrunning Louie, half the time, and had a dern
'screw' in the front ''tar''. on my pussie Magna. (LMA0)

I don't know how "mysterious" it was....if you weren't banging the
bottom out of your motorcycle trying to load it on a trailer to haul
it somewhere, you might've been able to go too. I rode the same riding
I said I would. When I picked up the bike in Knoxville, I rode it the
entire day. The following day, I rode it to North Carolina down 129.
I've got the tattoo on my helmet showing such. Since there's no way to
get from Knoxville to Deals Gap other than ride, I guess I rode. Since
I didn't haul a trailer to Tennessee on an American Airlines jet, and
since I couldn't stuff the bike into a mailbox, I'd say the only way
to get that Blackbird back to D/FW where it's been seen by a large
number of people on here is to ride the shit out of it. I left
Knoxville at 3pm and arrived in Dallas before 11am the following day
with a stay in a motel on the way. How "mysterious" was that?

Exactly how many of these "mysterious" group rides would you imagine
I've been on with people here? How many of those group rides have I
hauled a motorcycle to? How many people on this group have known me to
be dumb enough to knock a bottom out of a bike trying to load it on a
trailer? How many people here (or anywhere) would know of my
motorcycle EVER being hauled on a motorcycle? How "mysterious" was it
when I got off work and rode from Dallas to Mena to meet up with
everyone and then ride back the following day with everyone?

"mysterious" my ass! The biggest claim to fame you've come up with is
having a screw stuck off in your tire and then you hauled your
motorcycle around (before AND) after that. Little boy, I've had screws
and nailed punch through my tires on many rides that I rode...and a
couple with people on this newsgroup.

After all the screaming and poking at me this past year about me
riding, I'd be completely ashamed about hauling a motorcycle 170 miles
(one way) to ride it on a weekend. You've never been on a ride that
was worth a shit that anyone can tell.

Remember that advice about poking at me and my sharp stick?

    You guys are funny.

    "Pussy" magna. That's funny. The '95 - '03 Magna - with minimal
preperation - is a serious performance street machine in the hands of
someone who can actually RIDE it. In fact... hook me up with a loaner
and get us some track time - I can show you want I mean. It's a
*great* little machine. Obviously bigger-bore bikes can top end it on
the straights, but in real-road situations, a good rider can stick
right with 600/SS bikes on that generation of Magna.

Chris, as far as preperation concerning my V45Magna, all the preperation
I need is fuel, and a properly ''oiled'' & adjusted chain.
    I =can= RIDE mine.
