Well, I meant it's as a shortened form of "It is" so the apostrophe
shows a missing letter.

That's not much of a decent flame for a feral apostrophe, is it,
assuming that the cardinal sin has been committed.

There's a book out called "Eats, shoots and leaves" IIRC on just this
subject.

By the way are you one of the Level 2 people we should be reporting
to? ;-)
