Nice. I'm impressed enough by my 3600.

    If it's a good enough book it doesn't make any difference after a while;
except you have it with you and can read it (almost) wnenever you like
So far, I've always paid less for the Kindle version of everything I've
    bought than the paper version
The books are linked to your amazon account not the kindle itself, so
you can just get the latest kindle, or read using an app on your latest
    high tech piece of equipement
You should be looking out of the window then anyway
You can't get a signed copy of a book from your favourite
Get the author to sign on the back with a sparkly marker a bit like
Cane's dad does with the numbers on his mobile. Sorted.
    Agree with that one

Pop it in your pocket - the pocket that's not big enough for a paperback
I've not charged my Kindle in weeks.
I wasn't sure until i got one. On paper (<snigger>) it looks iffy, but
    in practice I love it

It couldn't happen to a more deserving person.

I watched the match until lunch then fell asleep, woke again to see
the last two wickets fall, had a quick snooze and watched most of
    Englands innings.

Adie set off to watch the football and return her mother to Southport
but the Everton game was postponed this morning so she's got the joy
of doing jobs around her mums place while I go to the rugby this
    afternoon.

I've put a bastard great big stew in the slow cooker and the plan is
to walk to the pub with my daughter (1), drink beer, watch the game
(2), walk home, add dumplings to the stew then sit and watch the
highlights of the test again all the time adding more beer and food.
Grabbing some sleep from about 9:30 to 11:30 should see me ready for
    more cricket.

    (1) What she knows about rugby can be written on a postage stamp but
her mates are going so I get the chance to pay for her ticket.

    (2) Another opportunity to drink beer.

Not sure that's right, as we've never set any code on the account, and
it's only on this box that it's asking for it for some reason. Only
seems to affect a couple of things, presumably Adult content or
summat, although again, I've not set any sort of protection on it.
Naah, that's never been a problem. I always turn off caller id just in
case they look, but I don't think they do.

Highlight of my list was half a kilo of beef monster munch.

    I'm easily pleased like that.

He has such a punchable face, doesn't he. Especially when he's got his
    baggy green on.

I told myself I'd watch til lunch, but by that point it was going so
well I told myself I'd watch til Australia were all out. But then I was
curious to see how England fared on the same wicket, so rounded off the
night in bed with TMS about 5am.

Glad I didn't bother watching the England innings though tbh - I'd
rather wake up refreshed to find a healthy scorecard than sit up all
    night watching steady batting.

Pah, they are all things I wanted, other than the decanter which was a
    very pleasant surprise.

No, but it is cut crystal. I had two bottles of malt to home, so I have
a choice in my tantalus[1] now.

[1] Hand made by my father with space for glasses, but it's only ever
    had 1 decanter.

No, the outlet is too large for the neck of the decanter, even with much KY.

Can't see the point of a decanter for spirits, unless you are passing off
    Lidl 8yo as something else.

Crusted/vintage port or mature claret on the other hand...

You're weird. Even Bruce wouldn't go as far as serving coffee in a gold
    plated decanter.

Which reminds me that I have a bottle of very old Amarone I ought to
