balls, I've booked my return leg from Cherbourg to Pompey on BF for the
Sept trip. Going out via LDLines on the overnighter to LeH.

They don't have many bike slots on the Fastcats so you need to book
early. I got a price for a crossing to Poole & when I wenty back 2 days
later the boat was full and I've ende up on the later Pompey service.

We saw some CCMs on display at Weston last year. Looked like badly
made heaps of shit.

I think they've gone bust at least once since that R30 was made.

 

They are very, very cheap. I think their top of the range off-roader's
about 3.5k.

They have indeed.

 

The R30 was built ok, and the engine in it (the 650 Suzuki Freewind)
is tried, tested and reliable.

Got me to Dieppe and back, and didn't fail in any way in the 2 years I
owned it ...

A slightly less badly made heap of shit than your KTM perhaps ? ;-)

As I said in the bit you snipped, the company making the current
el-cheapo models has gone bust once since yours was made.

Their competition bikes are probably ok but I wouldn't touch their
road models.

 

Frayed so, I found a tuit back when Colin announced the run, but thanks
for the offer Simon.

 

Ah well, as I said I liked mine a lot, so thought I might as well
spring to its defence.

I'll go and take a stress pill shall I ?
