    Well it turns out that the tame mechanic forgot to mention one important
    fact - it's not his. It belongs to a customer who is expecting it fixed and
    returned and not, say, given to somebody else.

    However, I couldn't leave this thread without letting you all see this true

    It's not quite, but apparently that's because it's an aftermarket fairing
    and panniers, rather than the standard Kwak jobs, which would explain why it
    didn't quite match any of the pictures.

    And it's not mine, which may be a good thing. In the words of the mechanic,
    "It's no fun to ride, it's no good as a winter hack, it's not a classic bike
    because some wanker's bolted a load of tat to it and it's not even
    reliable - that's why it's here".

    So, looks like a winter of ZX-6Ring beckons. Unless ...
