I visited the artery mong this afternoon. He is on ward C3 not critical
care now. They are a bit officious with visiting times and the times at
    http://www.wales.nhs.uk/sitesplus/864/page/47987 are not reliable.
    Afternoon visiting begins at 14.30.

Steve was in reasonably good spirits, very glad to be still with us and
talked about lifestyle changes. Surgery he mentioned on here is still
planned for Monday, and home on Tuesday. He's looking forward to that as he
is going a bit stir crazy. 1st op scar is amazing: looks like a tiny insect
bite near his wrist where they stuck the wire in and tracked it up & down
    to the blocked artery.

Family are coming down this weekend so he will be getting plenty of
visitors. He's going to be off work for the rest of the month so would
appreciate some visitors at home to stave off going any madder.

If you have befriended Steve on Facebook then you will see his contact
details on the Info page. Give him a ring and go for a coffee as part of a
ride in the mountains just north of his home.

  2. Nice one. I trust he's been reading the thread about him avidly.

    (The Older Gentleman) wrote in
fiddling with his ipad as I rocked up with his order of "skinny latte, 2
sugars" - the hospital entrance looks more like an airport concourse with
banks, costa coffee etc. I thought my local district hospital was big but
that place is huge. I followed exit signs and spewed out of the "Women's
Centre" which is on the ground floor below CCU. Had to walk around the
outside of the hospital to get back to my car. Not easy to navigate within
the mish-mash of buildings. Seem to be on the age old castle model, just
keep adding new wings and infilling gaps with newer buildings. Piss-poor
    signage.
