Just rode past California Speed-Sports on my way home. I always keep my eye
out at CSS cuz I know THE TRAILER can show up at any time. And sure enough,
there it was ....THE TRAILER!! What's the trailer, you ask?

Hah! I now know what that trailer signifies. It means CSS is going to be
conducting escorted tours on a trailer full of Aprilia's, i.e. free demo
rides! So, I called 'em up to get the skinny. Tomorrow at 11am they will
start their first escorted 45 min demo ride. It will start out going South
on S. Livermore then head due East eventually going past Carnegie Motorcycle
Park on Coral Hollow Rd out to 580, then back. At least that's how I
understood it. They will conduct further tours (probably all the same)
throughout the day. So, there you go. You've been notified. For more
details call them now. (oh yeah, in case you have'nt figured this out,
    we're in Livermore).

Oh, one last thing. I enquired and was told there are no sport touring bikes
in the demo line up. Bummer.

Went down there myself and rode the black Aprilia Tuono with the titanium
Aprilia racing exhaust. Rode it for 45 minutes. Music to the ears! I ride
a Kawasaki ZRX1200R, and while that bike is not slow, the modified Tuono was
just brutal. Very powerful with a potent, hard hitting torque and
willingness to run that makes anything else seem timid in comparison. The
thing idled with an impatience that served to remind you of its desire to
fling you down the road or flip over from a wheelie (waaaaay too easy to
do). I wrote a short review on my website at www.philnotes.com. California
Speed-Sports was really nice, giving away free hot dogs and drinks. They
even asked me if I wanted to go out again on the same bike or another one,
but had to get back home. They also had Moto-Guzzis for test rides.
