"these days" & "used to" being the important phrases, maybe? The Powers
on the MV & Roads on the Tig have never been remotely scary from cold,
unlike the Metz Sportecs I used to have, which tried to kill me.

  3. Go for the Vipers, if only to report back what they're like.

I nearly bought some last summer.

Too late, I bought Michelin Road 2 2CTs instead, as mentioned in another
    thread.

I've got Pilot Sport Cup on the 10R but they're unobtainable now. When
I was trying to get one at the Ally Pally show the people I asked all
said they're softer than the Pilot Sport and had been replaced with
    the latest Pilot Power.

Never heard of the 012, but I hazard they're softer then the 014.

I have a similar dilemma for the back of the 12R, whereupon on the 014
I have managed to comprehensively shag it out after 2000 miles.

So for me D207 or 020.

    Prace votes now.

I'd rather fit bald Macadams than new D207s. There's a new B/stone to
replace the BT020, it's called the BT021. Then again, there's the new
Avon Storm ST which replaces my favourite AV45/46STs. Those AV45/46STs
are dirt cheap at the moment, like £130 a pair cheap.

So far I'm quite pleased with these Michelin Pilot Road2 2CTs I had
fitted yesterday. They were pretty much scrubbed in by late afternoon
and in the evening I went to the local bike club meet about 15 miles
away, it was raining on the way home and I found them as predictable as
the Avons on the Bandit. This evening I went out and did a bit of
hoonery in the dry and they feel very good to me.

Actually I bollocks up. I had 012s on the 750 and didn't like them
because they took ages to warm up on the road. Which is unsurprising
    for a track tyre.

I have 014s on the Thou and liked them.

First impressions of whatever Dunlop's are standard on the 10 are good
as well, although they're not run it yet.
