That's nice to see.

It's nice to see that the Chinese government are using the Israeli
    method of controlling unruly elements.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/7296837.stm

It's about time China was told to get its 'settlers' out of occupied
Tibet and once they've gone pay out a few billion quid in compensation
    to the locals.

Once the troops have cleared up the mess and everybody's forgotten
about Tibet then the olympics will be the only thing anyone thinks of
when China's mentioned and you can bet your house on the fact that if
the Tibetan monks cause trouble close to the olympics starting
there'll be a news blackout and all hell will be let loose.

I wish they'd tell their settlers to get the **** out of my street.

I'm happy for them to carry on living in Bedford and supplying me with
take aways but that doesn't mean I'm happy about them fucking about in
    Tibet.

Good point, 'cept the cunts in my street aren't in the take away game.

Having said that, they seem to have disappeared, which is prolly due to
to the bailiffs serving bankruptcy orders on the worthless shits last
    Friday.

    Not really.

More court, more lies (incredible outrageous ones, under oath too), so
bankruptcy is now being pursued. Keep an eye on the Oxford Mail, I
reckon there'll be more in due course.

On a Chinese note, I was gobsmacked (while trying to demonstrate
corporate complicity with censorship) with the results I got when
    running a search this evening...

I'd have googled for "Tiananmen Square", myself. It makes a
    difference.

deadmail () gurgled happily, sounding much like they
    were saying:
Two of the top six results.

But if you spell Tiananmen correctly, you get a few more.

  14. Well, that are two in the top row of the pix I'm looking at, from that
link. Second and third from the right.

So? It doesn't take Einstein to realise that the only reason that
google has a presence in China is due to the fact that they kow-tow to
    the government. as stated above.

Anyway, IIRC, Champ pointed this out ages ago on a similar post.

My gobsmackedness arose from the fact that google.com *did* include a
picture of a bloke in front of a tank when I did the search. However,
searching with the right spelling still pulls up one with all protest
references removed, so I'm not quite as gobsmacked as I once was as
that's what I was originally expecting.

Gah. I mean I was surprised that google.CN included a tank picture. I
give up, must be time for some gin.

I don't think google are the only ones that do what they're told when
    it's China doing the telling.

I can't see any of the major sponsors of this years games threatening
to pull their cash over Tibet and I can't see any governments telling
their counties olympic associations to withdraw their teams.

I'm probably being very cynical but I can't help thinking it'd be
different if their was oil or gas waiting to be piped out of the
    country.
