    True, true.
How badly do you think it'll affect the PX? What value did they place on it
anyway? I'll buy it off you for 20 quid if that helps ;-)

I'll find out on Saturday when I order a new indicator and find out
how much a replacement fairing is - I'm not intending to replace it,
but find someone to tidy it up. Once I know the change in PX value, I
can decide whether to throw good money at it, or just bite the bullet
    and accept a lower value.

How long ago was it that I recommended you should get some?
I'll look at the pictures later, but can't you stick an aftermarket
fairing on? Or not even bother with the fairing?

Oh, hang on: PX. With you now.
Well, we all have moments of inattention or distraction[0], and usually
we get away with it - every now and then we don't, and we just have to
hope that when it happens, we get away with it relatively lightly.

Of course, none of that detracts from the fact that you're a clumsy
    twat. ;^)

[0] I've especially noticed this now I've started commuting again, after
a year off, and it's summer this time instead of winter:
    Bimble bimble through the traffic...
"Hell-loo, she's not wearing a b... where the **** did that car come from?"

You might be able to get a baffle to make it road-legal, if that's all
    you're worried about.

If it needs repacking, you can do that yourself.

They were on the bike before my sojourn in the North East, so I think
I may have preempted you on that. Still, it was money well spent as
they've twice saved me from major expenditure.
If PX wasn't on the cards, I'd not be that worried - there appears to
be no structural damage to the fairing, just scrapes.
Which, in this case, I think I did - being able to walk away is a
    bonus, riding away even better.
#Summertime and the leering is easy.

The carbon fibre has started to come apart - block the end and the
exhaust gasses start blowing out of the can itself. If Scorpion can
refurb it for a small consideration, I'll go that way. Failing that,
eBay for a SH one if I can find one in better condition than mine, or
a nice, new S/S road legal Scorpion.

<pre-empt> The 1100 can has the mounting bolts in a different
    configuration to the 1200.</pre-empt>

Ah! That's not good, is it?
I doubt they can do much with the carbon fibre, but perhaps they can
supply a new "tube", and you can just attach the rest of the components
    yourself.
    That would do the trick.
Ah, it's a bolt-on can, is it? That'd be bloody typical, wouldn't it?

A&R Racing sell all the bits to repair cans, including replacement
sleeves at suprisingly low cost (35 quid). They've got a fairly crap
web site at www.arracing.co.uk, but might be better just to phone them
    up - they're jolly helpful.

With a new sleeve and some rivets I think you should be able to repair
    it yourself.

  9. Accept a lower value. It'll cost you more to repair than it'll cost
them, because they get the bits at cost and if you DIY you'll pay retail
    for them.

That's pretty much my line of thinking, although I've recently found
out that the cost of making the fairing look pretty is not as much as
I had thought. The indicator will be ordered and fitted anyway.

    Statto says...
I have an undamaged BS legal Micron carbon that may fit yours up for
sale. I'll repack it with new wadding too, before it's sold.

Email me for a ridiculously low price.
