Ahh.. that answers a daft question that I had. Gatso's don't distinguish, so the one just down the road in a 30 limit that didn't go off when an ambulance went past doing 70 is probably knackered. Good. Anyone care to test it for me? Angus.
The Welsh mafia have decided to buck for full independance. Good idea....and lets start building the wall now.
{Arrive Alive spokeswoman Beth Mitcheson said: "We are often asked if it is one rule for us and another rule for everyone else. "These figures prove that isn't the case. The cameras do not discriminate between vehicles. "We have all got to look at the way we drive. Nobody is above the law."} Such nauseating self-righteousness deserves a round of applause. -- Dave GS 850 x2 / SE 6a SbS#6? DIAABTCOD#16 APOSTLE#16? FUB#3 FUB KotL OSOS#12? UKRMMA#19
I would have thought that they still get flashed, but they just explain that it was an emergency at the time. If the camera you mentioned didn't go off for an ambulance, just ignore, it, it shouldn't flash you either.
Never had understood why it's ok to drive "dangerously" if it's an emergency, or indeed quite how the police never seem to have a hint of irony when they say "We've been following you at 120mph for 2 miles, you dangerous git"... JH
