    And it still runs!

It was on the original 2007 map, not sure what difference the latest map
will make, but at least I got to play with some toys.

Seems odd, working on a bike using a laptop, just like they do on the telly.

Tell more. What tools are needed, where did you get the map from?

Err, no. Having checked back it cost me £14 delivered back in 2007,
    they're cheaper now.

    Simply take...

    A laptop
A usb OBD II cable like Ebay 140554774563
    TuneEcu software from http://www.tomhamburg.net/TuneECU_En/index.html
    And a map from http://www.tomhamburg.net/Tune_List.html

    And about 1/2 an hour.

Plugged it in to the OBD II socket under the seat and downloaded the map
from the bike to the laptop, confirmed that it was the original 20163
map and saved it to the HDD so I could put it back later if necessary.

Downloaded the replacement 20548 map from the internet and wrote it to
    the bike.

Switched the bike off, disconnected the cable and switched the bike back
    on again. Job done.

  8. This is the sort of tuning even Champ could do without breaking
    anything.
