That was jolly good fun

Rockingham today. Novice group 'cos I'm a wuss but for a 'last ever,
never again trackday' (as I told someone at the briefing) it was a
    good 'un.

I was also one of the fastest in the group. I suspect this had
something to do with me just riding for fun and thinking about lines,
rather than trying to GMKD on as many corners as possible. Also, I've
done Rockingham three times now and that has definitely boosted my
confidence quite a bit. In fact, on the first session, I *think* only
one person overtook me and he did this at the end of the last sighting
lap in the 'absolutely no overtaking here' corner.

Maybe it won't be the last after all.

Sounds like fun. I really must make an effort to get on track this year
    at some point.
There aren't any 'absolutely no overtaking here' corners at Rocky.

I suffer from terrible nerves, which is why every track day is my last
an I only do, on average, one per year. Then go back for more.

I'm contemplating doing Cadwell again, mind.

There was today: the chicane that bypasses turn one on the banked
circuit. The No Limits briefing was very definite about that; they
even had yellow cones on the entry "no overtaking from this point" and
green cones "OK to overtake from here" on entry & exit to/from the
chicane. Apparent;y there have been a couple of nasty accidents there
recently. From the way the rather nice briefing lady put it, it was a
Rockingham not a No Limits err, limitation.

I know thw one, it's a bit bumpy as you come off the banking into the
inner section and again when you go back onto the outer circuit. That
first hairpin onto the inner circuit is a **** too, Car tyre rubber all
over the braking area and the bump in the middle is fucking lethal
