A bike in front of me, on the way to work, obviously upset at WVM,
    gave him the finger.

A couple of hundred yards down the road, WVM comes screaming up the
hard shoulder and blocks the bike, whilst at the same time the driver
pulls out a bread knife and gives some verbal abuse before the biker
had presence of mind to GTFOOT.

Bloody hell! Mind you apparently something similar happened in Bristol
to a friend of a friend stuck in his cage in a traffic jam a couple of
years ago. And the only time someone has deliberately tried to knock
me off my bike was after I gave someone the finger in Bristol.

Funnily enough, when I saw the knife, I thought immediately, that's a
bread knife. Don't ask me why.

Maybe he wanted to slice the biker?

Perhaps he thought the biker was Krusty.

'kin leathal things, I bought a double sided[1][2] one when in London,
forgot it was double sided one day and pressed down while slicing
    bread..... doh !

[1]Bread 1 side, meat the other
[2] 'cos it was cheaper than 2 knives

    Defending your wife is trivial?

BTW you might want to leave some context in in future.

No indeed. Buying double edged knives is really stupid.

Unless you're a ninja assassin, then you are required by the guild to
carry at least two double-edged knives on you all the time.

(Seriously, who buys double edged knives? Wait, I know the answer
    to this one now... ;-))
