Trolling up and down the M1/M45 to Meriden, that is.

That knocking/clonking/banging hasn't gone away, but if I go over 50,
I can't hear it any more. Problem solved. :)

I suspect, now, that it's the air tube that runs from under the
headlight to just in front of my right knee - I'm confident that it
    isn't a frame/suspension braking issue, anyway.

A little bit of fettling still needed: the heated grips blow the fuse
when turned to "on". They're fine on "start", so I imagine I've simply
connected the wires in correctly. Trouble is, the GPS and CD player
    run off the same circuit.

Oh, and the exhausts are blowing with more enthusiasm than Gillian
Taylforth, and it only started on five cylinders this morning.(this
was at least four more than the Voyager[1] in the carpark)

Still, a good night was had by all, I picked up my trophy, and I had
*far* too much to drink, so I guess it must have been worth it.

    monstrosity.

  4. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the

  8. I only work about 5 miles from Meriden - if you want to contact them
and organise stuff, I'll pick it up for you, then I'm in London on
Tuesday eveing (Canning Town) so could drop it off to you.

Simondotatkinsonatnhsdotnet will find me. Or Simesofraunds on Skype.
