That was a bit damp.

Waiting for madam in Walbrook, around 18:15, in light drizzle.

She gets on, we turn into Cannon St, and the heavens OPENED.

I concede. It wasn't raining last weekend, it was just practicing.

Standing water 6" deep past the Royal Mint, hailstones the size of
chickpeas, misty visor, bow waves from buses, and by the time we'd
    reached Tobacco Dock, it'd stopped.

From 6:45 to 7:30 it pissed, thundered and lightning'd down. I've ridden in
a fair amount of rain in my paltry 3 and a bit years but that was the worst.
Came back with an extra 3 wing mirrors over my usual tally 'cause when my
helmet filled up with water and I shut the visor I could see nothing.

Got my leathers cleaned for free though so can't complain.

  4. I was on the A13 coming out the City when it started to go all dark
and began spitting. "Maybe I should stop and bung on my waterproof
bottoms" I thought, but of course couldnt be arsed as per usual. By
the time I got through the Blackwall tunnel it was double hard bastard
rain with hail and lightning thrown in. The A102 was 2 inches under
water. It took about 60 seconds for gloves, legs & boots to get soaked
    through.

2 miles down the road it was dry - and thankfully it stayed that way
for the remaining 60 miles of my journey.

By the time I got home I'd nearly dried out!
