  2. I almost got around to dragging the SOBoxer out of the shed on Sunday, but
then it turned nasty weatherwise again.

I bet next sunday is fine, seeing as I'll be out doing (indoor) harchery.

  4. prevert.

I did actually find a system with a working TECO on it (VMS thing, I think),
and managed to create and save a 1-line file.

  5. Tja; VMS, or RT-11 (or RSX-11M) more likely. I actually didn't
like it much (standard joke was to type in your name and then guess how
TECO would interpret it, though I rather suspect vi could be subjected to
the same test). But it came in handy when I had to programme in C on a
PDP-11 equipped with only a Teletype interface. I quickly learnt the
key sequence to convert all upper-case letters (as entered from the
terminal) to lower case (as required by the language and the libraries).

    I've got this log maul.

I hit things with it and they stay hit.

I can achieve a precision of thousandths with it on a good day.

Thousandths of a mile, that is.

    On a good day.

And then there's the CNC mill. I'm never totally sure I'm using that
though. Not in the strict sense of the word. I tell it what I'd like it
to do, then it gets a tad... autonomous.

    Hypnotic it is.

  14. have to admit, it's currently if not my favourite tool, at least a popular

real problem is the number of places it won't fit.

Husabastard/Husaberg, I converted to the church of Motard at the start of
this year, hence the need to use a torque wrench and a lot of maintenance.
It gets fed a litre of FS, filers and plug every um, 90 minutes at present.

The fun part is if you let a certain brother ride it, then when you go to

    (1) Oil fling from camchain into airbox and carb = smoke, easily resolved
    with new breather filter.

    (2) As if he would ever knowingly do that to my bike.
