That RUKKA gear is just a bit pricey.

The Halvarssons is excellent. It has some unique features to justify the
price. The Rukka is just plain overpriced, there are lots of comparable
products at 2/3 the cost. The H is two jackets and seriously abrasion
resistant. It has a lot of clever design, very warm and very
    comfortable.

All being said I feel it's too much money and I only bought it as I
could slush it through the company and save 40%. What size are you?

It was a very long time since I had any new Rukka kit but
when I had, it was durable and 100% waterproof for
many, many years. From what I see and hear now, they
seem to keep making good clothes but the price is a bit
    silly.

    Halvarsson (/JOFAMA/Lindstrands, the same company)
is more of a mixed bag. Usually good value for money
at Swedish prices but the budget models are no better
than the prices suggest. All (AFAIK) sewn somewhere
well east of Sweden with the usual quality control
    problems.

    40" jacket, 36" waist trousers.

The prices for the Rukka stuff are very high, I believe the Halvarssons
is slightly less expensive but I've not seen any in the cloth so to
speak, whereas I was at Infinity's the other week and tried on the
    Rukka gear.

I kinda doubt the Rukka stuff is *more* expensive. If it is they are
    seriously taking the piss

Got Rukka jacket and I must say its excellent, well worth the dosh.
I can get away with not a great deal underneath it. In the hotter days,
i can unzip the inner thermal layer, and it breaths like a whippet on
heat. All in all its a crackin peice of kit. The trousers were a bit
crap though , designed for someone with a fat gut and skinny legs. SO if
like me you have a fat gut and HUGE legs, then youve got to go way way
up in the waist size. Made do with rst which aint too bad.

Well the gut ain't too bad and the legs are skinny-ish So if I can
forget the price I wouldn't regret it. Maybe.
