so there I was on my way to work this morning, walking up to a traffic-
light controlled pedestrian crossing, with about 10 people waiting to
cross. I notice that no-one's pressed the button and think "fucking
    dimwits".

Only I didn't think it, I said it out loud. Picture 6-7 people looking
round with mildly indignant looks on their faces, pretty much all of
which changed to mildly embarrassed looks as they observe me press the
button, the light comes on and about 1/2 a second later the traffic
lights turn red and the traffic stops letting us all cross the road.

    Fucking dimwits.

One of the benefits of our overly PC world is that swearing at certain
types of people has regained it's impact.

I'll called someone a **** in a meeting last week and the effect was
    marvelous.

I thought of you the other day Phil.

We [the band I play in] were rehearsing some new stuff and we broke
into an impromptu "Spirit Of The Radio"

  19. Starting with the simple stuff eh? Mind you that era is my favourite
Rush era - less of the shouting and more of the music.

    <Sad Rush Fan Mode>

That's "The Spirit Of Radio", you heathen.

    </SRFM>[/QUOTE]

Indeed. I'm glad you said it.

Just googled for the lyrics, 'cos it's been going through my head
since Cane posted it, and to my surprise came across:

For the words of the profits
Are written on the studio wall

Daft I may be, but I'd never actually thought about the profit vs.
prophet wordplay in that line. Simon and Garfunkel too much engrained,
    or something.
