Excuse my ignorance, but how far away is Vancouver from Ontario? I've
a brother who just might be interested in that..

Depending on where you are in Ontario, anywhere between 1500 and 3000
miles. It's about 2800 from here in Ottawa.

Arr bugger. Orilia is where he resides now. He'd have liked it though.

escape worse injury. Looking at that, my first thought would be the
rider must surely have broken a limb or two.

On seeing the engine damage, I'll give you 50quid, and that's cutting me
    own froat.

Given the way the tank bag was removed, I'm rather pleased that the
todger is still attached, never mind a little bit of bruising.
You did notice those pictures that showed a large part of it was
missing, didn't you? I've got a vague feeling that the bit that's gone
was something to do with the oil filter thingummy - couldn't get close
enough to the bike to look underneath properly.

Ah, it's not just a cover that's missing, then.
Ho hum. If it's beyond repair and you get the salvage, you might get a
fair sum in total for the engine bits should you break it.

Oh, no. I think that's roughly where the oil filter went in - I need to
have a look at the engine manual to check.
Ack. Haven't got the time or the inclination - unless the salvage is
    ridiculously cheap.

Ummm... no idea. Cat B can be broken for parts, so presumably they'd
have to sell it to someone to do the breaking.
