That four foot wall of water

That four foot wall of water certainly gets about.

From the Daily Telegraph:
Up to 300 tents were washed away by a 4ft wall of water that sent
their sodden occupants fleeing to higher ground.

See, as I see it, none of us have issues with a three foot wall of water
would we? We can be very blasé about that sort of thing and fail to
realise that a 4 foot one can be devastating and the press have a duty
to make us aware us of this.

I mean, what is a three foot wall of water eh? Nothing. As long as you
keep the front brake dry snot an issue is it? And how hard is it to
keep the front above 3 foot of water eh? Piece of piss. Now a four
foot wall of water is a different matter entirely though, especially for
the modern sports type bike with it's shorter wheelbase. Think about
it, how hard is it, for example, to ride across a camp site through a
three foot wall of water to get some beers in for breakfast and keep the
front up above it all the way? I doubt there are many who would admit
to not being able to do this, even on their short wheelbase modern
sports bike, but how many among us can say the same for a four foot wave
eh? Very few I'll warrant.

It is only right and proper that the press play it up a bit, it is for
our own safety after all, don't forget.
