Talking of which, I nearly ran over a fucking huge rat today... size of
a cat, it was - just a brown humpy streak as it shot across the road in
the twilight, briefly illuminated by the headlights.

On reflection, it might have been a mink. Dangerous little bastards.

  11. Jeez, i know it had snowed in the UK, but I didn't think the weather
was *that* bad in the UK. Must be my rose-tinted glasses I'm wearing.

That or the fact that the view of the UK from here is a tad, er,
    obscured.

Email us if you're going to be in town next week, it would be good to
go out for a beer. You and Will can talk eyebrows...

  12. Nah, -4C is apparently the 'average' for New York winters. But by 'eck
it feels a lot colder when you hit the wind. My hands felt like they
were going to drop off yesterday, when I foolishly forgot my gloves.

Not seen many bikers braving the elements. Merkins must all be soft. Or
is it the bike-sized pot-holes in New York roads that is putting them
    off?

  16. Believe me, if Will could get a job at Berkley, we'd be there like a
shot. San Fransisco is possibly my favourite city in the world (though
New York is doing pretty well for itself!).
