  1. Made 4.2k in the end. So my estimate of 3.5k wasn't too far out..

I know its early but that seems a tremendous amount for something needing
that much work. The description said 'unmolested' but it looked like it had
been brush painted over dented, rusty and split tinware. I could maybe see
its value if it was the 1st Honda ever registered in the UK but there was no
sign of a log book or reg no ....

TBH, apart from maybe the frame/eng nos there's nothing to say it's ever
been registered or ridden in the UK (or Japan). The speedo could be in
either mph or kph, plus the seller has sold imports before.

  4. I thought it was in remarkably good condition for an unrestored bike.
I think it pre-dated that. We covered this in an earlier thread.Hardly
*any* of these bikes have survived. 'Historic' is the word.
If you'd seen the earlier thread, you'd have seen that when it was made,
Jap bikes below 250cc didn't need registration documents.

I think it fetched a fair price.

Heheheheh .... looks too nice to me, somehow. I dislike the wording
"professionally restored" then later in almost the same sentence
"lovingly restored", something doesn't ring true.

    "professional loving", then? It's a tart's bike.
