I overtook two goldwings on the way home. They don't like those
    crosswinds do they?

At one stop on the run down to St-Quentin, Dodger invited the assembled to
feel his front tyre. It was hot on the windward side, cool on the leeward,
because of the continuous bank angle he'd been forced to employ. The RT, by
comparison, took relatively little notice of the breeze.

Thats the spirit, maintain momentum at whatever risk in the hope the gap
will still be wide enough for a single :)

    'tis true.

There a very few gaps in the profile of a GL1500.

I think the major problem is the front wheel: gusts directly affect
    the steering.

You're welcome. Good to have some feedback; I actually wanted people
with more experience than me to have a go on it for that reason. I'm
assured it will loosen up over the next 6000 miles or so...
    De nada.

You know when they're loose enough when they start rattling.

Hang off - it turns much easier and feels happier, but that might just
be because that's what I'm used to doing.

  20. Wot he said, had a great time which was only slightly marred by not getting a
wink o'sleep as the pissin ground was killing mi bones. Trust me to forget a
mattress or summat like. I know wimp!
Yeh, thanks Champ for letting a 15month old biker (wot you didn't know?) gizza
go on't gixxer, my first ride on a real supersportsbike. S'all downhill from
    now. :(

Actually, it was a weird experience compared to the Fazer. I felt like I'd
been karting for twenty laps, my arms were killing me.

Also going round bends wasn't quite as easy (not quite the right word) as I
imagined, its completely different to a streetbike. Although it may be that I
wasn't paying attention to the speed I was going round them compared with my
    bike!

    Can I have another go?
    DNC's bandit looked ace.
Didn't fancy the wing/voyager as I would have looked a complete pea head.

    6. No thanks to Charders for exploiting my numbusus gulliblity, not once but
    twice, or was it more!

    7. Was great to meet so many of you. See you at BOSM.
