You know what? I had to actually go check. It says "The traffic master"
which I'd always assumed was the number plate manufacturer, but I suppose
it might be a slogan, so I guess that's what you're referring to.

You should've said hello, it would've made a good conversation starter.

    that's the one.
did you buy the bike 2nd hand by any chance?
I was just leaving when I spotted the bike; didn't see who'd gotten
    off it.

Yup. It also explains the homdicators. The previous owner wasn't much of a
    style guru.
I saw you leave. Your exhaust is loud.

    is it?

It always struck me as fairly tame, because when I bought the bike, I
also owned a CCM R30 with a race can on it, which wasn't just the
loudest bike I've ever owned, but pretty much the loudest object of
    any kind I've ever heard.

    Thanks for organising it.

I'm not sure I'd call any of the faces I saw 'new' though. Most of them
    looked thoroughly used.

Good to put faces to names, though, and voices too. Posts read
differently when you can 'see' and 'hear' the person typing them.

    Not especially.

Although I find it difficult to hear much above the induction roar and
metal dustbin goblins of my bike.

    ah, good - I didn't think so.
heh. I imagine they get along well with the unexpectedly-high
    corner-speed imps.

Heh, well relative to one of those...

It was loud enough to make me turn round when you started it.

  10. I'd love to, if only there was a suitable venue round here.
