    Good point. In the old days of broken clutch cables, I made several
    journeys without a clutch.

    Hell, I even did two laps of Pembrey after my clutch lever was pinged
    off at a first corner fracas.

    I'll concede that City -> IOD was a challenge I'd not want to repeat,
    but it is do-able.

    I've driven across London without use of clutch. Kangarooing away from the
    lights was probably the least mechanically sympathetic bit of the adventure.

    VFR. I have ordered a master cylinder repair kit from Mister
    Silver. When I took the master cylinder off, there was a hole in the
    rubber boot on the end of the piston.
