Testing the Limits of Yourself & Your Bike Survey

Discussion in 'Australian Motorcycles' started by Catherine Hanson, Aug 11, 2009.

  1. Hi,

My name is Catherine and I'm currently looking for people to
participate in my research project. This project is part of my
Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology degree at Deakin University.

The project follows up a study conducted in 2008, which found that
people high in psychological need for control (people who like a lot
of control over their lives - if you like, ‘control freaks’!) were
generally safer riders. However, we unexpectedly also found that these
riders reported more performance of stunts (wheelies and wheel
    spins).

This study therefore aims to further explore the relationship between
safety and stunting. Are those high in need for control seeking to
test the limits of themselves and their bikes? Can stunting help you
    become a safer rider?

We are therefore looking for licenced on-road motorcycle riders, who
have ridden within the last 24 months, to complete the confidential
questionnaire that makes up this project.

If you're interested in participating, or just want to find out more,
then please follow the link below:

I don't know how truthful the responses will be, Cathrine. The
control freaks in here are in chronic denial and lie in their teeth to
put up a false (acceptable) persona. But good luck anyway.

If you don't know us outside of here, how can you know when we are
putting up a false acceptable persona and when we're just being
    ourselves ?

(any half decent psych experiment should have checks and balances to
unearth falsehood and at least assign a probability to it)

You could always look and check if the sender is using "Eternal Argument" or
whatever it is that the alternate Gerry identities post from....

Easy. Their personae in here can't possibly be real. They're too
unbelievable. Take yours for example: A well manicured fascade
overcompensating for the fact that we all know you're a total twonk
behind all those psychocosmetics. A true lunchtime legend.
Any respondee with half a brain would be able to pick all the related
questions and answer them in a manner consistent with the projected
    persona.

Since the study seeks to explore the relationship between safety and
stunting, I need not participate. I don't do stunts, ergo, no
    relationship can be explored.

But she sure knows where to find the control freaks, eh. :)

Done. The (very) few people I know who stunt, or have stunted, on
motorcycles used to stunt on BMX bikes before. The survey didn't ask
about prior behaviours, which I would have thought was highly relevant.

And you, sir, are merely boring and predictable. I doubt you have
the brains to live long enough to grow old.

So you say. You have proof?
Hahahaha... I can NEVER become another Knobdribble. I just don't
have it in me to start campaigns to get people to killfile those I do
not like. It's MUCH more fun just to watch them squirm as I shove
    their bullshit up their nostils.

    You see, I am The Anti-Clem !!!
