huge footprint for the available living space - having 2 x 2 people
spaces is no use to me - I want one large space to loll around in.

I've used a cheap (£30 about 10 years ago) 2-man festival tent for the last
few Chimays, OSMs, and the last 2 Elefants, and it's been entirely adequate.

The inner slepping compartments are removable. Leave one out and it will
    also be lighter.

I've still got one I bought from Lidl for about £15. Supposedly a two
man tent but slept 2 adults and two children at a folk festival 5
years ago. It seems to be reasonably wind, rain and frost proof.

Just had a look on the Gelert website as I'm sure that the Halfords
stuff is largely rebadged Gelert stuff. Lo and behold, there's a pic
of my tent (but with different colours and Gelert written on it):
    http://www.gelert.com/products/Tempest_2_.aspx

Quite a bit more than I paid (mine was heavily discounted) but I would
recommend it to anyone who wants an easy to use lightweight tent. It's
what I'll be using for bike touring (If I ever get round to buying a
    bike...)

My kids have had one of those for about 5 years.
It's survived three trips to Carling Leeds fesival and five trips to
    the Rock & Blues.
    Still works.
Does what it says on the tin and a 40 quids, a bargain.

In seruiousness for one second, i just checked. Mines a Gelert Eiger 2 &
fold up really small, it does sleep two easy & has a little awning. It's
easily the smallest of it's tye once folded up.

I can take a pic of it folded up?

Do you simply want one for Chimay or is this a longer term thing?

We can easily bring an extra 2 man tent over if you want to borrow one
and the most likely suspect would be the one I used at this years
Elefantentreffen. It's easily big enough for one person plus all their
kit, has two entrances and one useable sized porch.

I can attest to the bollox thing having pitched my tent next to said
den of bollockspeak at Hulland Ward.

Ogden's tent appeared to act as some sort of conduit for bollox.
