2002 Busa, from dealers, £5500, sat there saying buy me, bye me!

Last week I was thinking of swapping my mortgage to egg and getting
some extra to buy a newer bike (sick of the SOBs state of repair). I
was thinking busa, until someone suggested a blackbird.

Today the local Suz dealer just got the busa in, and it won't stay
there long. I was offered a test ride, but I've not been on a bike
since crashing the 550 and thought I'd better get some practice in on
    the 1100 first.

    Should I:
    A) Just buy the busa (credit card, finance, whatever).
    B) Wait until I get the re-mortgage and buy a cheaper one privately.
    C) Test ride the busa, locate a blackbird to test ride and then
    decide.

AndyH emerged from their own little world to say
    C. Never buy a bike without a test ride. You might hate both. Have you had
    an insurance quote?

It's not like you'll use a 'busa much over the next few months with SOBs at
    the ready.

If you've paid attention around here then prices are likely to be a lot
    less next year anyway.

  3. It (and other 'Busas) will be cheaper in the New Year.

But all the rear tyres you need will be just as expensive ;-)

  7. Another year on the calendar, as it were. Plus used values will continue
    to fall anyway.
