My old chap's car decided to expire today, so being a dutiful sort of son I
rashly gave him the keys to my Golf so he and my aged Ma can visit friends
in Suffolk over the Xmas break.

SWMBO was less than impressed, as the old chap's driving is a little erratic
these days (scared the shit out of me driving us back from Wycombe today)
but what the hell. (Akkshirley I CGAF if he prangs it, as long as he and
    aged ma are okay).

As I have to work tomorrow, and am technically on call all over Xmas the
only other form of transport I have access to (other than SWMBO's Megane[1],
    M'boy's TS50[2] or daughter's pony[3]) is the trusty Honda.

Should be fun, it has recently been either pissing down or frozen here in
Oxon. At least it should mean I can park in town tomorrow PM when I do my
    Xmas shopping though.

[1] Don't even go there, "her" garage is full of semi stripped TS50 at the
moment, and she is less than impressed by this recent display of
"sonfullness", hence the Megane is off limits.

[3] Hmm, that plan has a certain novelty value to it I s'pose.

Oldbloke, that wasnt you i saw going into halfords this evening in Bedford
    was it.
The whole old bloke / CB500 [1] / talking of trips to halfords from your
other thread just fell into place.

[1] Black CB500 with flyscreen and topbox noticed outside and old bloke
walking in as i walked out.

Get into the Christmas spirit and take the pony. Just make sure you
strap some antlers on it first.

Sorry Paul, I have never been to Halfords in Bedford, and my CB is Red, not
    Black, and no topbox.

However, as a sad Honda Owner, beers must be done at some stage.

Hmm, piebald pony tethered in the High Street, plus yours truly in black
leathers, with full face helmet and red (slightly gay, but a good deal at
the time) boots. D'ya think I'd make the News at Ten?

I should think you'd make Crimewatch.
