Yes but the 200 quid converter only works with some of the expensive L class
    lenses :

    (1.4x converter / 2x converter - about £240 each)
    EF135mm f/2 L USM
    EF180mm f/3.5 L MACRO USM
    EF200mm f/1.8L USM
    EF200mm f/2.8 L II USM
    EF300mm f/2.8 L IS USM
    EF300mm f/4 L IS USM
    EF400mm f/2.8 L IS USM
    EF400mm f/5.6 L USM
    EF500mm f/4.5 L USM
    EF500mm f/4 L IS USM
    EF600mm f/4 L USM
    EF600mm f/4 L IS USM
    EF1200mm f/5.6 L USM
    EF70-200mm f/2.8 L USM
    EF70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM
    EF70-200mm f/4.0 L USM
    EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM

So you'd need to splash out on decent lenses before being able to use the
    converter anyway.

You've probably already heard that the 2x converter results in poorer
    quality photos than the 1.4x.
Yeah - that's a beast - but of course the lens hood accounts for 33% of the
    overall length.

I remember hiring a 300mm f/2.8 IS lens for my first equestrian competition.
It was *way* to long and I was forced to stand right at the back of the
carpark just to get the riders & horses into the frame!
Teach me not to reccy the venue first.

  5. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember HooDooWitch
Nice wee photo diary; cheers for that.
