TDM900 advice.

Hello,
Anyone of any experience of the TDM 900. Thinking of buying one.
04 model for 5949. Seems like a good all rounder at a good price. Any
input would be appreciated.

It's a good bike. I had the 850 version & the 900 is better.

That price is only £500 off list. They have launched an 05 model with ABS.
Therefore, dealers will be desperate to shift unsold 04 models.

There's a pre-registered bike at Skellerns [1] going for £5499. If that's
the sticker price then they are sure to come down on that.

Yamaha have probably offered an incentive so that there will not be any 05
registered bikes without ABS. Expect bigger discounts after Xmas as dealers
try to knock out the pre-registered bikes.

They'll have been pre-reg so dealers meet their targets and get their
end-of-year bonuses. Then they'll be desperate to shift them.

Pre-reg bikes tumble in value fast if they're on the floor for much more
than three months - for a start, the warranty time starts being eroded.

Food for thought. Have to lean on the dealer and see if I can get him
to lower the price. He tells me that the bike has not been registered
but does anyone know when in '05 the new model will be released might
be worth waiting for trick brakes.
