Time during the weekn, when it means taking leave, maybe. Time on a
saturday? Do you really charge your mates a ton an hour to spend time
    in the pub with you?

When you factor in your own time (100ukp an hour?) and the petrol to
Wales and back, was it worth buying from ebay?

I'd say he should pop in for a sherbet on the way past, but I doubt I could
    afford him.

Almost certainly not. However, days without being able to listen to music
    have their cost too.

I was -><- this close to buying a new LK140 and then chucking the (new,
ex-demo) eBay one straight back out whenever it arrived, but, well, I
    didn't.

Well, my dear chap, perhaps you will see the error of your ways, after
    you've returned from <shudder> Wales.

    I mean... *Wales*. Ugh.

Cheers, another time perhaps. I'm aiming to keep this particular mission as
    brief as possible

Sorted. South Wales smells funny. The bridge is cool though. The chav
rocket rocks nearly as much as the amp.

Only trouble with the bridge is they charge you to get into Wales. So the
trick is to head north into Herefordshire and enjoy some twisty roads,
then blat down towards Newport and take the bridge back for free (the
extra petrol is way cheaper than the bridge toll, and the journey's great
fun in a small pug/citroen, trust me.)

heh. I would have done that, but it was dark by the time I got close to
Wales (probably for the best, really). I did a bit of tooling around off
junction 8/9, going up towards Henley and then coming back, though. The
suspension is pretty hard, but apart from that, it's a hoot. It took me to
Wales and back to Membury services to work out how to turn the speed warning
    beep off, though - 71mph ... *BEEP* ... 71mph ... *BEEP* etc

And you didn't even pop in and say hello. Shame on you.

My current car has that at 120kp/h. Fortunately, it lasts five seconds
and then fucks off. So the trick, thereafter, is not to drop below 120
    - to avoid it beeping again. Sometimes I take to the hard shoulder if
there's traffic in the "real" lanes.
