I booked accommodation yesterday for the Turismo in March and found that
several places are fully booked in Strahn and Richmond. If you are planning
on participating on the ride I suggest that you book now.

Fark... I'm glad I lurk here. I'm gunna go! A non-ducati riding mate
who has been talking about a tassie trip with me is gunna be pissed off,
    but cest la vie!

  5. That's pretty much true for most places in Tassie at the moment, those
extra boats have been very successful ... so unless anyone is coming
here midwinter, you need to book way ahead.

Meanwhile - Turismo? Is that the Ducati owners ride?

    Cheers

  7. No - I use a proper newsreader :)

Looks good, heard something about that during Australian Motorcycle
Week. Looks like you'll be roughly doing a reverse of the AMW tour
(although if it ends in St Helens it means you miss Weldborough Pass,
which is a shame - mind you, the obvious way back to Launceston and
then Devonport is Weldborough Pass, so maybe not :)

    Cheers

    Mark,
You can take a non Ducati owner as a pillion.

  10. .....and how many Ducato owners here know the Tourismo will be in the
South Island of New Zealand in Feb 2005?

    Kind regards

Actually, I can also take one non-ducati *rider* as a guest. The form
is pretty vague, so I mailed the person, and she confirmed that is no
    problem.

Yeah I couldn't work out what it meant either.
So does this mean as well as taking my pillion (wife), I can invite a mate
to bring his Bimmer on the ride with his pillion (wife) also ???

I reckon it does. The girl was pretty casual - she just said to get my
mate to note on the form he was my guest. Just drop her an email - she
    answered it within an hour!

All that way and only doing half the country?

    What a waste!

    Nev.. Guest

Non ducati riders needed to carry pillions coz their support truck can only
carry so many passengers once it's full of bikes :)
