    Hmm.. a lawn mower engine with a scooter belt drive would be better for
    that. The diesel unit sounds ideal for a Bandit conversion. If, and when
    the FZR250 goes pop,I'd love to fit a lawn tractor engine, or a cement
    mixer diesel.

    The picture of the concept car I saw had the flywheels mounted on
    gimbles. The race car, I presume, had contra rotating flywheels or
    something?

    Intriguing, I wonder how the power is transmitted from the flywheel if its
    angle WRT the driven wheels changes.

    Well, it'll be electrically coupled via a control box to the drive
    motor(s) and the turbine.
