They finally completed the seal a few months back, and you can now ride
on bitumen all the way. There is an official opening to be held at a
farm on the road, about 25km north of Taralga, on November 29.
Apparently one of the things they're aiming for is to get loads of bike
riders there and to set a record for the most number of people from one
club - or something like that.

Anyway, there's more info at their website
    http://www.tablelandsway.com.au if anyone cares.

Tell 'em to postpone it until next GP; there were heaps of us heading
    through that way this year.

First we'd need a competent council that recognised the value of tourism
promotion and had the will to act on it...if it had all been left up to
Goulburn Mulwaree Council, the entire length of the road would still be
    dirt!
