SYD: Tolls

What happened at the show? I was interstate at the time and haven't heard
anything since. I presume the Hornsby plods were playing geese on their own
turf or have their shenanigans spread to the Brisbane Waters patrol (north
of the Hawkesbury) too?

Insewerants companies really shit me but only when we are forced to pay for
exorbitant policies outside of our control. The same as government
dickheads who run ramshod over everyone and won't be held accountable. I
like a counter meal too so put me down for CTP, 0.02 BAC and everything
else!

Well, meetings with bureaucrats definitely aren't my thing. I'd tend to cast
aspersions on their perverse sexual habitats with other, alien species in a
manner that Billy Connolly would be proud of. Unless that's what you need
(could come in handy for front plate man)! On the other hand, I'm very good
at counter meals and liquid lunches! Writing doesn't come easy very often,
I'm horribly disorganised but can wield a big stick and public speaking
shits me unless it's after aforementioned meal types. Better put me down
for research, statistic skewing or something similar behind the scenes (the
web site looks like it could do with more often updates and info, btw) and
see if anybody still wants me!

Well they say on the invoice that if the tag isn't read at the time of use
I'll be charged an extra $5.
So far I've been going about 2 years now with no extra charge. I think it
may be a scare tactic that is not used presently.

 

Thanks for helping to make my point. Even counting the bikes is going to be
an overstatement of the true number. (And I'm presuming that all states have
an equivalent of the Victorian rec-reg)

They were asked by the organisers to have a stand at the show to talk
about road safety.

They declined, saying that it was the equivalent of asking for free
"security" and if the show wanted cops there they had to pay for it.

However... 6 cars and a few bike cops turned up, parked around the
place, drove through the show a couple of times, and set up speed traps
everywhere.

OK, I'll pass the info on I know the lights on people want someone
to trawl through the research and distill it.
