SYD: scooter stolen

Discussion in 'Australian Motorcycles' started by Zebee Johnstone, Apr 16, 2007.

  1. OK, I needed more garage room but not like this!

Tonight between 8 and 10pm my 1999 Gilera Runner 180 2 stroke was
    stolen from Belmore Rd Burwood.

It's a fairly lairy object, being bright red with "Runner 180" in big
silver letters up the side, and sliver flame stickers on the windscreen.
It has a large expansion chamber with a carbon fibre stinger that's been
    wired on.

If anyone spots it, call me, or Burwood police or 131444 and quote
    incident number E29888147

Damnation, I didn't need the room that much....

3rd party yes, but theft insurance is usually a high premium due to
the "No, I didn't crash it, honestly" brigade.

While you've got them pulled over, can you check to see if they've got
my #2 Phillips screwdriver? I'm sure some bastard's nicked it!

I bought a new OZquad 250 last week as a vehicle for doing the gardening.
There was a very nice screwdriver under the seat. Not a phillips though.

On the other hand, I might have gained a green-handled #2 just after you
left. As well as a pair of jocks.
    :)

(Actually, this loss is a bit more recent. It's a handy magnetic-
    tipped one, too!)

Normally they just blame the native australians for this kinda thing.

if i search somebody and get a #2 phillips, ill arrest em for ya, then post
em to your local police station for processing. Australia post, works
    wonders every time :)

But, but who would want to pinch a scoot? Much less a 2 stroke?

Must be some weird people up there in Emerald City.

    Only if it's a 200mm Nicholson #2 phillips with a green handle
(wouldn't want to convict an innocent party, after all!)
