Yeah, there will definately be a test ride in there to check it out! It
*looks* porky, but I'm willing to bet it won't be. Anything with that much
grunt has gotta be fun for ride.

There are a _few_ 2005 models around which some dealers are
discounting... best price I've seen is about $16k plus on roads though.

Definitely not 2006 plated though (and despite what you might think
Caneron just because a bike is sold in January or February 2006 that
    doesn't make it a 2006 model).

My mistake, I ment to say 2005 not 2006. Correct you all are. Still you can
    get a 2005 on road for 15k.

    Great, very useful info, not.

The 06 is significantly different to the 05* they aren't really
substitutable - particularly given the guy in question was selling an 04
which is identical in all respects to an 05 (except the compliance plate
    date of course)

Well ... they did infact change a bracket and the sheathing on the rear
brake line. Stiffer top out springs. Slightly revised shift mech and
different 3rd gear I think it was too. Very minimal changes. None of those
    problems have hampered me though.

Yes, I'm aware that there *was* runout deals on the 2005 models, and in any
sense, for sure you would jump on it. By my research, which is hey, not
much, most places have sold out, so that's why the bike is on the market. If
you want new, of course you're going to look for an '05 and try and get the
best deal you can. 13k is my asking price, not what I'll get for it.

Now lets start talking comparos. It's the 2004 ZX10R, shat all over the
blade, the R1, and the gixxer the year it came out. It took the current
gixxer to match/perhaps beat it, and even then it was only by a small
margin. (Not discounting the beginner bike, the 1000RR ... just to dig at
the Honda fans .. hehe) So, for what it most likely going to be 12k, what
else are you going to get ?

Check bikesales, tradingpost and other sites and you'll actually see this is
    pretty comptetitively priced.
