    Hey people

My ZX10R is up for sale.

    Make/model/year: Kawasaki ZX10R, 2004
    Engine Capacity: 998cc
    Odometer reading: 26409
    Registration expires: October 2006
    Location: Maroubra
Item Condition: Bike is in great condition. There is the usual amount of
stone chips and nicks etc from a bike that is *ridden* and not looked at in
the garage. Needs another wash and polish at the moment, but that's only
cosmetic. Had a full strip down and clean about a month ago.

Servicing has been done on the dot every 6000km. I've run Mobil 1 Racing 4T
(fully synthetic, 15W-50) since the 6000km service. Shims were adjusted as
per my previous thread at 12,000km. New chain and sprockets, these are
    almost 3000km old.

+++ Suspension rework was done when I bought it at the 5000km mark. This
work was done by Dave 'radar' Cullen. Suspension Tech big port valves in the
front, standard springs. In the rear the shock has been modded and rides
beautifully over the bumps. Ask a few people who have ridden behind me and
they all say the same thing (or similar) "You can really see the rear shock
working, it just tracks straight over the bumps".

Apart from the suspension work and EBC HH pads, the bike is completely
stock. Quite simply, it really doesn't need anything else!

Reason for selling: Upgrading at some stage in the future, time is right for
    sale.
Price and price conditions: $13,000 or best offer. Don't offer me $10k, I'll
    show you the door.

e-mail at ... hmmm ... actually it's prob in this post. Anyhoo ...
    desmo*nine*nine*eight*@hot%mail.@com ..... but the nine = 9, eight = 8 if
you get my drift. Bah, I'm sure that bullshit never works anyway.

    Oh yeah, photos ...

Earlier spirited defence of the ZX10 now becomes clear :)

(for some reason I thought you had a ZX6 - did you upgrade from a 6 to
    the 10?)

You can buy a new 2006 model ZX10r for about $16k on road. Full 2 yr
warranty, 0km's and in show room condition. What makes you think yours is
worth $13k being a year and 26,409 km older with scratches?

No warranty. It's a repairable write off. If you have a look at one of those
pics in there, you can see a miniscule scratch on the frame. Normally it
would have been repaired, except this guy had new for old insurance and
lives in Double Bay or some shit, so basically told em to get stuffed and
they had to write it off.

First reg around Feb/March '04, had a very small right hand side slide, few
cosmetics, was fixed and then sold again. Plates were obviously handed in at
the insurance stage and thus the difference in actuall age and apparent rego
    age.

arrived yet) for 16k ride away. I'll throw you a few slabs for the contact.
    Cheers .. and get fucked.

    Well ... it went '85 GSX250S, '96 ZX6R, '98 ZX6R, '00 ZX6R, '03 CBR954
(which was stolen in June 2004), then '04 ZX10R. Also now have a '02 ZZR250
that I picked up cheap to fix then sell. Will most likely get a '06 10R some
    stage later on this year.
