    Two things :

    1) It's in km/h isn't it, rather than mph
    2) You must have to have so much confidence in the tyre grip - looking at
the barriers there's virtually zero margin for error and no runoff either :)

    dwb says...
Having seen the angles you used to get your gixer over to, I wouldn't
have thought you suffered from a lack of confidence in tyre grip.

I am a bit strange regarding tyre grip. I have absolutely no problem
with getting the bike over at silly angles at very high speed, but
can't lean a bike very far at low speeds or around town. Maybe it's
because all the accidents I've had that were caused by the tyres
sliding have been low speed ones.

That's a bit fast for me. I think I'll watch "Swiss Railway Journeys"
    instead:

    "Swiss Railway Journeys
Showing Wednesday,27 July 2005 at 19:00 on Sky Travel Channel
The Vereina Line. This railway route in Switzerland was opened in
November 1999, taking its passengers through the beautiful
Engadine valley near the Austrian and Italian borders."

TBH, apart from his completely unnecessary and counterproductive
kneedowns wherever possible, they didn't seem to be doing anything I
wouldn't do myself. Of course you must trust your tyres; of course you
must get the line right; of course it looks like there's less margin
for error than is actually the case.

Looks like a nice road, and I was trying to recognise it from the
signs, but they weren't clear enough.

Just because I leant it over, didn't mean I was confident ;) Also the
    runoff/drop was a bit different...
The only place I've had a major grip problem was on a racetrack.

Oh and I probably wasn't actually aware of how far over I was actually
leaning it - that helped too.

Ace emerged from their own little world to say

There's what looks like a village name sign at 1'20". Brown background with
PRADEN in yellow lettering. Does this conform to Swiss type? I've never
    been there, so wouldn't know.

    Near Chur apparently

It says 'Prader'. Don't think that's how the Swiss do their signs.

Just had another look. The sign at the start say 'St Moritz, Julier Pass,
Savognin' so my moneys on them leaving Tiefencastel and riding the Julier
pass. I've ridden it in both direction but can't remember much apart from
    the top.

I spotted that on a rerun, although it's not usual signing, no.
I looked at the rest of the web site (dirty stuff about <spit>
skateboarding and all that shite) and it's based in Chur, so wouldn't
    surprise me at all.

I've only been that far SE a couple of times, and certainly haven't
done that road. And, TBH, there's a lot of equally nice roads much
closer to home, as Champ and Mike will testify.

Really, you're hard pushed to find a bad road in the alps.

We found one, though, although I suppose technically it wasn't the
    alps.

Tiefencastel and riding the Julier pass, is the correct answer, and the
sign is from a contruction company not a road sign. I did the same run
last weekend. Came back over Fluehlepass. Those bends are a lot sharper
than you can tell by this video.

  18. I watched the tail end of one last week. Some mental tunnel building,
where the line goes up a valley, through a lefthand rising tunnel and
emerges on the side of the valley 40' higher then goes over a bridge. A
    similar tunnel awaits further up.

More a determination to get a train where it shouldn't be, iwt.
