    No, how about California?

I reckon California to Melbourne is do-able in 20 mins.

That's part of what I did yesterday: A40, B4452 to Cirencester and
    then down.

  3. ...and as we all know, in Pennsylvania the way to Paradise is through
    Intercourse.

They'll warm up as soon as they contact the swinging arm and nip up if
    he hasn't got enough clearance.

Checking the clearances between an ambient temperature swinging arm
and a similar temperature bush is always a good plan because you can
soon work out how much the bush will shrink when you freeze it and
you'll then know if you're wasting your time or not.

No way would I fit those bushes until I knew how much interference
there was going to be between the bush and swinging arm and how much
the bush would close up when fitted. If the clearance between the bush
and swinging arm spindle is going to be a bit tight after fitting it's
easier to increase the clearance before fitting rather than after.

Great. Do they need reaming (fnaar) after fitting to ensure they're
dead in line and the right size?

Nobody mentioned reaming, although the ones that came out of the
swinging arm slide into the arm but not onto the spindle; the new
ones slide onto the spindle, but not into the arm.

Stop, please stop!!! You're all reminding me horribly of my Uncle Norman,
who was always advising pointless alternative routes for journeys I knew
like the back of my hand. ;-)

But it's not pointless: it lets you ride your bike on roads you might
    like riding a bike on.
