Just listened to it. Simon was as good as I expected, but I really
don't subscribe to the ASLEF point of view. Trying to dictate what

I thought he was polite, yet forceful, and totally missing the point
that there's absolutely nothing wrong with comedy being about things
that people may find distasteful.

I'll also admit to laughing when he mentioned the spaghetti.

 

My POV too.

 

I was impressed with his ability to sound reasonable and lucid. I suspect
he was trotted out to represent the views of ASLEF rather than his own.

And this morning he's been on live with Bill and Sian on Breakfast on
the BBC. On at about 0644 - it'll probably be repeated later on.

He did concede darsy's point that he's probably given the film some
extra publicity!

 

Damn, I knew he was going to be on that.

Guessed. I was watching Breakfast and the mentioned the story was
coming up. Given his appearance on BBC radio yesterday I felt it was a
fair assumption.

 

Apparently somebody cops it, and the scene cuts to a mess of spaghetti
covered with tomato sauce... except sweller describes it better.
