  4. Is that not usual here? In Oz the reflectors on opposite sides
of the road are the different colours, but I can't remember which is which.
Heh. Riding back from Uni at night through the Clarence and Richmond
cane-fields I'd often hit fog, and slow semis. No way of knowing where the
road was going, so SOP was to wait until you saw headlights through the fog,
judge how far away the car was, and go for the pass -- hoping that it wasn't
    a Land-Rover coming towards you...

  6. Probably because you are reading in ukrm; I'd set follow-ups to
ukrs because some people don't like a lot of cross-posting, but since
the chances were high that Neal was posting from ukrm and hadn't noticed
the f/u, I put ukrm back in in my reply (as now -- you may not see your
own post! ...unless, like Adny Woodwrad, you're in your own killfile and don't
    expect to see it...)

    Yeah, me too.
I never did get this whole 'follow-ups reset' lark that gets posted
    occasionally.
    But quite, *quite* mad.

    What a strange question?

Unless, of course, you were offering a pint of 'cuppa' in which case, no ta.

Didn't know whether you'd be driving or not. Tea, coffee and beer all
come in pint mugs, AFAIC. You want, or you not want? We got tea, we
got coffee, we got beer. We might have choccy biccies, but I wouldn't
    bank on it.

  18. A cuppa should be served no other way. Thee's no point in going to the
trouble of making a brew only to have it run out 3 or 4 glugs down the
    line.
