SV650S Colors?

Discussion in 'Bay Area Bikers' started by Lawrence Frelot, Oct 10, 2004.

  1. Does anyone know the full range of colors the SV650S comes in? The suzuki
web site says only blue and yellow but I saw a light grey one in front of my
    office.

    Thank you.

Horrid?! Geeze, I think the copper is quite nice! Very unique and clean. But
    I'm biased.

    Aw, I've been called worse.

Besides, tell me what you dislike about the copper so much?

It's well just the ugliest color I've ever seen on a bike.

Oh, I've seen much worse. There some customer choppers running around that
looked like someone was either drunk or high when they designed it. There
are also some sportbikes around here that folks have customized that make
you say, "Man, what were they thinking!" There a guy around here that has a
sportbike that's completely covered in leopard skin fur. I mean, all
plastics, seat, tank, mirrors...everything. Even his helmet. It's like a
    pimp sportbike. Now that's ugly.

The green/purple factory Honda for one. Take them out and shoot the lot
    of them.

Black is the one true color.

Wasn't there a black and purple Yamaha years ago, like a FZ750 or something?
There's one of them around here too. It ain't pretty either, IMO.

There was that pink color the Speed Triple came in for a year or two
that has the copper color beat hands down.

Pink?! I've never seen or heard of that one. I admit I've never cared the
Speed Trip in that lime green...but pink?

  14. Nah, the pink Speed Triple at least had the virtue that you were basically
saying to the world "Yes, I'm riding a pink bike. Deal." The copper SV
manages to be both ugly and boring at the same time.

My mechanic (back in 1998) had a pink Honda Ascot. Don't know if that
was factory color or not. But better her than me.

Chris, actually. She had a shop on 5th St that fell victim to the
    dot-com boom.
