Judging by Al Pennykid's experience selling his VTR1000[1], No more
than $1500 and even at that price it'll take 6 months to sell.

    I personally don't think that 72,000km = "high mileage" but then I
have a 10 year/$2000 policy on my bike purchases. ;-)

If you want to find the average number of kilometres which second hand SV650s
have travelled, there is an obvious way...

IMHO 20K is prob above the 'average' for a 3 year old bike

you will prob find most 3 yr old SV650's would be lucky to have 15K or more

anything above 50K esp on something only 3 years old and you will have
trouble selling it unless it is significantly cheaper than
    what else is around

also remember the SV650 isnt a highly sought after bike

    It's sad isn't it...

The only new bike I ever bought did that in one year.

TOys, that's all the poor things are nowadays.

  17. Yeah but mine is a "BIG RIG" you know real gear jammer type,( just another
    fsken diesel slurper)
BUT, compared to rest of fleet I operate in it is low milage, other trucks
are 350 to 400 thou per year, there is one that did 500000, fskn hell thats
    a big year.

Can I have your job, only hope your not paid per K,

If it was running 365 days a year, that's 1370 k per day.

Or an average speed of 57 k/h on a 24/7/365 basis.

I hope there is more than just one driver......

Errr... the highest yearly milage of any of the vehicles in our fleet is
    about 140,000 kms a year.

Detroits normally need a top inspection at 500,000 and a precautionary
    rebuild at about 1,000,000.

Those figures are detroits figures btw... how do you figure 555,000 is low?
Low for your fleet perhaps, but medium by most of the transport industries
    standards I'd suggest.

P.S. Anything that gets to 1.5 mill around here isn't here anymore ;-)

Mine's only a little bubby truck:

    http://www.otherpower.com/images/scimages/236/S2_oops.JPG

It had about 375,000km on it when I got it 18 months ago. It had
spent most if not all of its life as the "parts truck" for one of the
Ford dealers here in Canberra, so apart from the constant brutal
thrashings from apprentices it hadn't had a very hard life. I've got
it running on LPG now, and I'm starting to think about bunging a
higher compression head on it to take advantage of the 100 RON fuel...
