SV650 rev problems - possibly weather related?

    Hi,

So my bike wouldn't play properly this morning. I can start it with a
bit of effort but then it doesn't sound right when idling. If I try to
rev then it just cuts out. I can't get it much above 1k revs. Over the
last week I've been having similar problems but they were less severe
and seemed to sort themself out after a short ride.

We've had a lot of heavy rain. My amateur assumption was that I'd got
water in the exhaust and that by running it it'd burn it up. That
    sounds silly now.

My current theory is water in the carbs, water in the tank, and / or
water in the front spark plug.

I'm going to have a quick go at fixing it tonight but before I go home
and start pulling things apart, cutting myself numerous times and no
doubt burning myself on the exhaust (again!) can any of you give me
    some pointers?

Front spark plug most likely. Make sure the drain hole on the right side
of the cylinder head is clear and the sparkplug boot is seated properly.

    I haven't lost my mind, it's
backed up to a floppy disc
    that's around here somewhere.

Oh excellent. Sounds like a good deal. How do you fancy meeting me
later on to help me push it up the bloody big hill to get it home from
its current place of abandonment. We'll sort out the tenner and you
taking it home another day... :p
