Hey youse Suzookisti; have you heard of any problems with SV650 gearboxes?
Feller at work reckons his wouldn't move past 2nd on the commute this
    morning.
It was OK for 1, N, 2 shifting but no more.
The bike has done 45,000-odd but I have no other info (I only got an email).

Back when I was alive the most-likely cause of this was a loose gear-lever
spline or a bent gear-lever (fouling on the engine-case) but I think the SV
has rear-sets so that's probably unlikely.

    Any knowledge of any problems?

Hell; no one else is talking to me so a double-reply is
    all-the-more-welcome!!
I forgot all about it at work today so I've neither had a look at it nor
    garnered any more info.
Either way; you've probably got 34,000km before you have to worry!

  13. Love it. Heaps more go. Under warranty.

I put E10 in the R80 all the petrol fell out! Little did I know, the bottom
of the tank was rotted and the only thing holding the petrol in was the
paint. The E10 ate it over night.
My wife swapped it with her sister for an expensive lounge suite that
wouldn't fit in her new house- the Bro in law fixed all the faults and
re-registered it(he is mechanically ept, has a workshop and wanted a road
bike) and I was allowed to buy a new bike. A win, win, win, win situation.
