I agree- the earlier frame is really quite nice, I prefer the rounded
look rather than the angularity of the new frame. And if the web page
I looked at is to be believed, the new frame is 'honeycombed' on the
inside, and is not covered over, which I imagine would collect all
    sorts of shite. :(

I'm quite amused by the people who have got it.

No. My guess is that it *may* be quotes from Dude, Where's My Car[1].

[1] I've never seen it, but I remember seeing the trailer it on
Sky last year and thought it looked like it would be absolutely
    shite.

I thought of that too, but I credited people with more taste.

    Stupid, really.

Well, I've just been outside and given mine a feel [1] and can say that
although it is sectioned as per the photo, it has collected next to no
grime at all [2]. Must be well protected by other components, engine etc.

    [1] don't, just don't.

[2] 5,000 miles, all weathers not even a dirty finger to show for the
    effort.

I still think the new frame and the whole "Sporty, sharp-edged styling"
looks naff as ****, like a cheap plastic kiddie toy.

But I would *love* to have the new fuel injection and engine management
system, not that I have any problems with the carbs now, after switching
the pilot jets from #15 to #17.5.

Of course if some doddery rich dimwit decided to give me a new SV, I'd
    certainly not turn it down...

I actually prefer the look of the new one, but there's not much point in
arguing preferences... Funnily enough, I didn't really think of it as
    'sportier styling' just more angular.
